Body: ?The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Seattle seeks a Communications Coordinator to execute a multi-platform communications strategy to inform, engage and connect AIA Seattle members, partners and the public in conversations about the value of good design.
Responsibilities: A successful Communications Coordinator will enhance member connection and commitment to AIA Seattle, attract attendance to AIA Seattle programs, and ultimately grow the membership. This position also supports marketing and communications efforts for Design in Public and the Seattle Design Festival.
Requirements: The individual we are seeking will have strong skill sets in communications and social media engagement, impeccable written and oral communication skills, creative interest in design and the built environment, and ability to handle numerous simultaneous projects and campaigns. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player with excellent attention to detail.
The Communications Coordinator coordinates our overall marketing efforts via email, web, social media, event-based, and print marketing, as well as earned media publicity. This position will oversee ongoing marketing projects in addition to researching, proposing, planning, implementing and monitoring new initiatives to broaden reach and foster awareness of, interest in, and connection with AIA Seattle. Primary areas of responsibility include overseeing the look and content of our website, executing and shepherding marketing plans for the chapter?s programs and events, maintaining and growing communications with and between our members, and supporting social events and an annual membership campaign.
